Procrastination Station

I have a 2,000-4,000 page essay due on Friday for class; I churned out the first 640 words this morning with no problem, but that was filler crap and now I'm stuck.  I told myself I needed to stay at the office and work, at least until 7:00, so that I wouldn't go home and realize I couldn't possibly do any writing until I had re-arranged my bookshelves or scrubbed the shower.  So, of course, now I am sitting here in an ever-more deserted library, waiting for E to reply to my gchat, and I just had to clean out my inbox.  Obviously.  And in doing so, I found two emails I must have saved because they mentioned books I thought I would want to check out at some point: A Short History of Women by Kate Walbert and True Confections by Katharine Weber.  Not even sure what they're about, but I feel compelled to b(ook)-log about them, if it puts off returning to my essay even a minute or two.
Really, this blog itself ought to be called procrastination station, since it's already a giant distraction (who knew that linking could be so much more fun than work!), but I am sure that's already taken...
